Oh, sweet baby… You have no idea that you are one of the most powerful people in the world. Well, most powerful in my life right now, and possibly in the world someday. You have no idea that putting your arm around my neck for a tighter hug actually gives you the ability to get absolutely anything you want. I’m just lucky that you don’t ask for it. You don’t know that with one flash of your eyes, I can see pictures of myself as a baby and find it unbelievable that we can actually look so much alike… or with a flash of your smile I see your dad and am so thankful that we have our perfect little family. With every giggle and tease, I fall in love more (if that’s even possible). With every scream and protest, I’m so thankful that you are strong willed. With every bang, bruise and tear I want to make you better, while also hoping these things make you smarter and stronger. You can turn my world upside down, while making everything seem only right all at the same time. You turn me inside out worrying about a rash, while loosing my mind with joy when you succeed. I’m going to make you crazy at times, and you will do the same to me… but my number one job in life is to make you know that you are always loved and supported and can do anything you set your mind to.
